Personal Portfolio Projects Prosthetic Using 3d modeling and photogrammetry, I designed and created a prosthetic idea for human improvement, a la Blade Runner. View Project World Creation In collaboration with other artists, I created an explorable space with animations, story, and a unique experience of what it would feel like to live in a space station orbiting a foreign planet. View Project Wizard Game Follow the Wizard as he seeks to reclaim his stolen orbs from an evil Witch, in an indie platformer created by myself and fellow game designers. View Project Shybot A engineered entirely by me, who exhibits the human quality of shyness while retaining an adorable and cute demeanor. View Project Video Projection A collaborative video projection project which explores the idea of the internal and external worlds, and ponders the creativity within each of us. View Project Burcursion A conceptual work which exudes playfulness while also examining the relationship between medium and message. View Project Diamond (2020), 1500px x 2055px, Photoshop .gif This work originated as an exploration of the limitations of photoshop and a self-imposed challenge to test my ability to animate in photoshop. I sought to capture a simple quiet moment, calling themes of the sublime and picturesque, while remaining simultaneously unsettling because of the subject matter. Heart Shaped Glasses (2020), 1500px x 2055px, Photoshop .gif I created a short looping animation which features a pretty girl nonchalantly removing her glasses after they shatter. This work signifies the damages one can undergo in romantic relationships, and the jaded quality afterward. Alchemy (2019), 1500px x 1500px, Adobe Illustrator As I was using Adobe Illustrator for my professional works, I grew interested in creating my own artworks using the program. As such, I created Alchemy as a sort of peaceful but still ominous homage to my other works, and my process as an artist. Endless Summer (Summer, 2019), 1500px x 1500px, Adobe Illustrator I designed Endless Summer as designed as a promotional work for a fictional company. I captured a concentrated feeling of the joy and peace of a warm summer day by the pool, along with inspiration from the style of corporate art. Awestruck (2020), 1500px x 1500px, Adobe Photoshop Painting Using a variety of self-taught techniques, I painted this work digitally, rendering from my memories of a visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. As the viewer we are treated to a scene of a girl struck by the sight of a beautiful jellyfish, and we too are awestruck by that very same feeling. Attachment (2018), 1500px x 1500px, Adobe Photoshop illustration I drew this work as a way of expressing a phase where I was constantly misplacing my belongings, in the throes of a combination of full time school and work. I tried to convey the weariness I felt through a thoroughly exhausted form and haunting message. Darkbeast (2020), 1500px x 1500px, Adobe Photoshop illustration Using techniques that I developed from my numerous works in ink, I created a negative of a scene from the videogame Bloodborne. I sought to capture the overwhelming power of the Darkbeast, and the player's strength of will to combat it. Enchanted (2018), 11"x14", Pen and Ink As a part of the #Inktober artist prompt, I inked this piece. While trying to capture the prompt "Enchatment", I sought to use my massive skills with hatching to render a bonsai tree glimmering in the moonlight as it floats in oblivion. Down Where it's Wetter (2015), 8.5"x11", Pencil I created this work to capture an intense moment of inner turmoil. I felt like my thoughts were tendrils slipping and crawling through my skull, often painfully, as I tried to figure out what to do next in my llfe. BloodMoon (2021), 11"x14", Pen and Ink The concept behind this work is a dream of a parasite devouring the moon to sustain itself. This horrific act is contrasted by the innocence of the eye, intended to make the viewer question if actions taken to survive are truly evil. InsiDoubt (2018), 8.5"x11", charcoal and ink I initially sketched this drawing as an exercise to reclaim my skills with charcoal, but upon finishing I did not feel like the work captured my style as an artist. I then blended my inkwork with the charcoal drawing, and the resulting image captured my aesthetic fantastically. Wanderer in Snow (2018), 300x300px, Pixel Art in .jpg format In this work I sought to capture the usage of color and lighting to convey a specific atmospheric mood. It is also a beginning foray into the narrative of the Wanderer, who searches the world in an attempt to find what he lost. Wanderer on Ice (2018), 300x300px, Pixel Art in .jpg format An expansion of the Wanderer's world, this time with a more hopeful feeling. I wished to once again capture a different emotion with the work. I utilized one of my skills as a pixel artist because I believe that pixels are the building blocks of our increasingly digital world.
